ADDIS ABABA, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat, on Monday strongly condemned a car bomb attack in Benghazi, Libya, which killed five people, including United Nations personnel on Saturday.
The United Nations Security Council had earlier strongly condemned the car bomb attack that has also injured several others.
The Chairperson of the AU Commission has extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wished a swift recovery to the injured.
The Chairperson has also urged an immediate permanent ceasefire, and that all parties to resume, without delay, in genuine national political dialogue for the swift resolution of the crisis in the country.
