BEIRUT, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Monday that he will fight fiercely against corruption, a local newspaper reported.
"I will not cover any corrupt people even if they belong to my party. Everybody will be treated the same way. There are no exceptions for anyone," Hariri was quoted as saying by Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.
Hariri's remarks came during a celebration held at the Center House for the formation of the new government in Lebanon.
The new government will implement all pending projects with very high transparency, he said.
"Those who would like to join us in our fight against corruption are most welcome while others will have to bear the responsibility of their actions," Hariri added.
