BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhua) -- A film festival jointly hosted by China and Russia opened here Friday, scheduled to screen seven Russian films in Beijing and Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province.
The opening film was "Salyut 7," a 2017 historical drama based on actual events in 1985 related to a space mission of the Soviet Union.
Another film to be shown is "Thawed Carp," which tells the story about a mother's love and was awarded one of the best screenplays at the first Shanghai Cooperation Organization film festival in June.
